Behavioral Medicine

When challenging life circumstances result in a decrease in emotional or behavioral functioning, feelings of helplessness and hopelessness can follow. Unresolved, these life circumstances can lead to debilitating mental health conditions or chemical dependency.

At Columbia St. Mary’s, our Behavioral Medicine Services are designed to help and support you and your family through challenging times and serious conditions. We provide treatment for mental illness and addiction in an environment of respect, dignity and compassion.

Our Staff
Our experienced team of qualified and dedicated mental health and substance abuse professionals is dedicated to the highest standard of care. We design treatment to fit each person’s individual needs.

Care Settings
Depending on your needs and our treatment recommendations, we provide care in several settings to provide the most effective treatment.

Inpatient Hospitalization provides coordinated, short-term, intensive treatment for adults and older adults with acute episodes of mental illness.

Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Programs provide structured, time-limited transitional services for adults experiencing serious impairment in psychosocial functioning or are struggling with an addiction.

Insurance
Behavioral Medicine services are covered under most major health care plans, including Medicare and Wisconsin Medicaid.
