Opening October 12, 2010, the new
Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Milwaukee
will transform the patient experience
and set a national standard as a model
for safe, efficient, patient-centered,
and cost-effective care.
The new hospital will combine the
services of Columbia Hospital and St.
Mary’s Hospital on Milwaukee’s east
side. Bringing together these two
hospitals will save Columbia St. Mary’s
$19 million in operating costs each
year, which will more than offset the
cost of the new hospital. The new
Columbia St. Mary’s will be the hospital
of choice for the area’s leading
physicians and staff to care for
patients - all supported by
state-of-the-art technology and major
health care services including Cancer,
Cardiovascular, Orthopaedics,
Neuroscience, and Women’s Health.
The new Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital
Milwaukee continues a 160-year history
of medical excellence, care and
commitment for the people of Milwaukee
and southeastern Wisconsin. More than
simply a consolidation of two of
Milwaukee’s premier hospitals, this new
innovative hospital will set the
standard for high quality, affordable
health care.
