Burn injuries can be devastating. Recovery can take a few days, a few weeks or, with severe burn injuries, even months. In addition, patients with severe burn injuries sometimes face psychological as well as physical trauma. This trauma doesn’t stop with the patient; it often extends to their families, as well. |

Assuring the best outcome for our patients requires an experienced and highly-trained staff that possesses the highest level of clinical expertise. This staff must also possess the ability to provide the spiritual and emotional support that is necessary to achieve complete healing. The Columbia St. Mary’s Regional Burn Center provides the full range of knowledge, care and compassion burn patients and their families require. Since opening in 1959, the Regional Burn Center has earned a reputation for excellence. The Center is verified by the American Burn Association and has received a Certificate of Training Care Designation by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. In addition, it was chosen as a Site of Excellence in 2009 by the Wisconsin EMS Association. In 2012, the Columbia St. Mary’s Regional Burn Center will host the World Burn Congress. This prestigious event will bring burn survivors, physicians and others to Milwaukee and the new Regional Burn Center in the state-of-the-art Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Milwaukee. The new hospital and Regional Burn Center will open in 2010. Choose from the menu to the right to learn more about the Columbia St. Mary’s Regional Burn Center.
