As you recover from your cardiac event...

Whether you are recovering from a heart attack, heart failure, coronary angioplasty and/or stenting, heart bypass or valve surgery, we are dedicated to your full recovery. Using the highest standards of care and treatment, a team of registered nurses, respiratory therapists and exercise specialists will work with you and your physician to help you set and achieve your goals.

Components of the Program

Inpatient (Phase I)
Education and support are the key ingredients to assure your recovery.

Outpatient (Phase II)
Outpatient Cardiac Rehab lasts 4 – 12 weeks after your hospital stay. We recommend that you begin Phase II within 1 – 2 weeks of
your discharge, if possible. You will be monitored while beginning to exercise, learn about healthy life-style modifications and receive the support you need to reach your goals.

Outpatient Maintenance and Wellness
This phase is an independent self-pay, non-monitored exercise program for those who want to continue their efforts in a supervised environment after the Outpatient Phase is complete. This program is designed to help you maintain your ongoing exercise plan.

Elements of the Program

Education
To support healthy lifestyle choices, the following topics will be covered:

  • Risk factors that accelerate heart disease and how to minimize them

  • Individualized exercise plan

  • Heart-healthy eating and nutrition

Exercise
Monitored aerobic exercise and strengthening will help you regained and maintain your health.

Support
Your rehabilitation and wellness team are dedicated to your success and will encourage you throughout the program. Registered nutritionists and diabetic consultants are also available, if needed.

Although depression and anxiety are common after heart events, our structured program will support you through these issues if you experience them to help build your confidence and eliminate anxiety.
