Endometrial Thermal Ablation

Endometrial ablation refers to the process of destroying the lining of the uterus in order to reduce the menstrual flow in women experiencing heavy bleeding or to eliminate menstrual bleeding altogether. A new simplified method for performing this involves passing heated liquid through the uterus for ten minutes. This procedure can be performed in the office or outpatient clinic with return to normal activity the next day.
