New Vision™ treats adults who are suffering incapacitation due to the effects of drugs, alcohol, or acute withdrawal symptoms, and related health problems.
The service begins with a medically supervised hospital stay for the inpatient treatment phase, which typically lasts three days. Upon admission, initial assessments of the patient’s fundamental needs are accomplished. These assessments include a medical history, physical, a complete laboratory workup, and a nursing assessment.
Discharge planning will be done prior to leaving the hospital; the patient will be referred to the appropriate community based aftercare programs. The goal of these support groups is to blend education for all the patients regarding chemical dependency with practical methodologies to prevent relapse.
