Kacmarcik Education Resource Center-Services

Center Resources Available for Individuals, Families and Groups include:

• Self-service pamphlet library and access to health education databases and reference materials.
  
  
• Two computer stations with internet access to carefully screened and selected health related website.
  
  
• A collection of health related books, magazines, and newsletters written for laypersons.
  
  
• One-on-one assistance, including needs assessment, research, and referral.
  
  
• Free packets of written materials that can be picked up, faxed or mailed.
  
  
• Easy-to-understand explanations of thousands of medical, behavioral, and parenting topics written by healthcare professionals.
  
  
• A collection of books and other materials focused on complementary medicine and spiritual and emotional healing are also available.
  
  
• Access to videos that can be loaned or watched in the center.
  
  
• Referral to other resources through knowledge of local and national community agencies and of the Columbia St. Mary’s System.
  
  
• Access to physician information, seminars, support groups, and ongoing classes.
