Each
year, hundreds of babies are born at Columbia St. Mary’s healthy and
ready to take on the world. On rare occasions, some babies need extra
attention. When the unexpected occurs, you want the best possible care
for your baby.
Columbia St. Mary's is proud to be the only hospital in southeast
Wisconsin with an all-private room Newborn Intestive Care Unit.
The Columbia St. Mary’s Doerr Family Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is an essential part of ensuring we provide the best specialized care to such babies — our tiniest and most vulnerable patients. This new 25-bed, all-private room, Level III NICU serves babies and their families from its new home on the 6th floor of the CSM Women’s Hospital.
Our NICU will help protect the health of the babies, give parents the privacy they need to bond and care for their babies, provide babies with a more nurturing environment, and even enable parents to stay overnight in their baby’s room.
