The only hospital in Ozaukee County has seen remarkable growth since opening its doors to the community in 1994, both in number of patients and services offered.
The need and desire, by physicians and patients alike, for programs and services equal to those in Milwaukee has turned a community hospital into a full tertiary-care facility.
Overwhelmingly positive patient response to the Heitz Radiation Oncology Center (opened in 2004) and to the full-service cardiac program (opened November 2005) have confirmed the need for programs at that level in the Ozaukee Community.
Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee Campus is again growing to meet the community’s need for a full-service hospital by opening a new inpatient bed tower and a new medical office building. The new bed tower will nearly double the potential number of existing beds; some of these rooms will be built and held available for future expansion.
As with the Milwaukee campus, the highest quality care will continue to be provided in a patient-centered environment. This project will blend sensitively and naturally into the existing hospital and the surrounding area.
