The Women’s Heart Secrets team is a diverse group of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to empowering women to take charge of their heart health. An integrated team of healthcare professionals, working in consultation with a Columbia St. Mary’s cardiologist, will design individualized plans that support preventive measures for a heart healthy lifestyle

Kathy earned her bachelor’s degree in dietetics from the University of Wisconsin-Steven’s Point and completed her dietetic internship at Hines Veterans Administration Hospital in Chicago. She completed her master’s degree in adult education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

A certified diabetes educator for more than 20 years, Kathy has dedicated her professional healthcare career to nutrition and diabetes education, seeing patients with a variety of conditions, including diabetes, weight control and heart disease prevention. More...

Kim Beyer, FAACVPR - Exercise Specialist

“My passion is to help people learn about heart disease and how to prevent it. My parents died at a young age of heart disease and I want to help people at risk be active agents of change in making life changes that reduce heart disease.”

Kim earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Illinois State University in Normal. She has worked in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation for more than 20 years. Kim has been active in the Wisconsin Society for Cardiovascular Pulmonary Health and Rehabilitation and the American Association of Cardiovascular Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Her patient-care focus includes developing individualized exercise plans that are targeted to fitness goals, including strength, flexibility, muscle development and weight loss. Kim works with patients to increase opportunities to support an active lifestyle that is safe and aligns with healthy eating.

Noa Holoshitz, MD - Cardiologist & Medical Director of the Women's Heart Secrets Program

“I strive to educate patients on heart disease and make them an active participant in their medical care and decision-making process.”

Dr. Holoshitz earned her medical degree in medicine from the University of Michigan, and completed her internal medicine residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She completed her cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships and additional training in adult structural and congenital interventional cardiology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She is board certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. More...
