Glendale, Wis., May 3, 2006 – Columbia St. Mary’s is pleased to offer an open house for its new River Woods Outpatient Center in Glendale on Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. River Woods offers the latest technology for mammography, an open MRI system and advanced GI procedures to aid in the early detection and treatment of digestive diseases. It also offers walk-in, urgent care for a variety of medical needs including minor sprains and breaks, colds, flu, and other illnesses.
On May 20, visitors can get a first-hand look at the Outpatient Surgery, GI Lab and digital imaging departments, as well as receive health screenings for blood pressure, vision and body mass index, a way to assess a person’s body fat percentage based on their weight and height. There will also be complimentary chair massages.
Children can experience the interactive science tables provided by Discovery World, along with artistic face painting. The North Shore Fire Department will display an ambulance and fire truck for viewing, while the Germantown Police Department Canine Unit will demonstrate how officers work with police dogs. Refreshments and giveaways will also be available.
The River Woods Outpatient Center is located at 375 West River Woods Parkway in the Glendale Technology Center business park, which is located on the east side of Port Washington Road, between Capitol Drive and Hampton Avenue.
