The approaching holiday season is a time when you can share your spirit and demonstrate your values. Your purchase of holiday cards at this season of giving supports St. Ben’s Clinic for the Homeless all year long.
Proceeds from the sale of the cards help the clinic send a nurse practitioner and a social worker to shelters, meal programs and food pantries. The immediate goal is to help homeless people receive the care they need while the long-term goal is to bring them into a more “traditional” health care system.
Last year, over $10,000 dollars was raised to help women at the Women’s Overflow Shelter. As in the past, the art design, printing and production of the cards are donated. There are several new cards this year. Peace, joy, social justice, as well as universal and religious themes are included for your selection. Through your help, St. Mary’s Foundation Milwaukee and St. Ben’s Clinic hope to surpass $10,000 in funding to help with screening and preventive health activities for people on the margins of society.
