Columbia St. Mary's Opens Its First Medical Clinic in Washington County

Washington County residents are now able to receive primary and specialty care services at the new Germantown Clinic, at N112 W15415 Mequon Road, Germantown. The clinic, part of Columbia St. Mary’s Community Physicians, which opened on Monday, August 4.

The 23,000-sq. ft. Germantown Clinic is located on 4.6 acres near the intersection of Mequon Road and Pilgrim Road in Germantown. This is Columbia St. Mary’s first medical clinic in Washington County.

“Columbia St. Mary’s Community Physicians is thrilled to be a part of the Germantown community,” said Sue Sanicola, Vice President of Columbia St. Mary’s Community Physicians. “We’ve already been well received by many members of the community. The clinic offers a significant opportunity to provide a variety of high-quality health care services to meet the many health care needs of area families.”

The two primary care physicians who will provide full-time coverage at the clinic are Darcy Fechner, MD, (pediatrics), and Lynn Drab, MD (internal medicine and pediatrics). In addition, the Germantown Clinic will offer specialty medical services including cardiology, ENT, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, OB/GYN, and general surgery.

Onsite services will include physical therapy, occupational therapy, ultrasound, mammography, lab, and X-ray. “The focus is on bringing the necessary services to the patient, rather than sending the patient to another site,” Sanicola said.

Clinic staff will focus on the health and wellness needs of the community including flu immunizations, health fairs, blood pressure screenings, and education for area elementary schools.

Constructed by Opus North Corporation, the clinic’s design reflects the Germanic architecture of the Germantown community. It features 17 exam rooms, four procedure rooms, a skylight and children’s area in the lobby, and a canopy entrance. The clinic will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The public is invited to an open house and health fair at the Germantown Clinic on Saturday, September 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature door prizes, refreshments, children’s activities, and free health screenings.

Columbia St. Mary’s Community Physicians, part of the Columbia St. Mary’s system, consists of 24 community clinics and offices through Milwaukee, Ozaukee, and now, Washington counties.
