Columbia - St. Mary’s (CSM) Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Leo P. Brideau, FACHE, the organization’s new President and CEO.
“We are very fortunate to have a proven leader in Leo Brideau, who will continue to build upon the mission and vision of Columbia - St. Mary’s to be the leading health care provider in Milwaukee and Ozaukee counties,” said Robert J. Henkel, Chairman of the Columbia - St. Mary’s Board of Directors and Sr. Vice President of Ascension Health. “Leo has outstanding experience building a growing health care network.”
Brideau comes to Columbia - St. Mary’s from the University of Rochester where he served as Associate Vice President for Health Care and President of Strong Health Regional Network.
“Leo brings numerous strengths including experience in building a results-oriented culture brought about by teamwork, openness, accountability, partnership and values,” said Daniel F. (Jack) McKeithan, chairman of the Columbia - St. Mary’s Search Committee. “An extensive search took place to find a leader with vision, fiscal responsibility, and values to continue to strengthen Columbia - St. Mary’s commitment to make a positive difference in the health status and lives of individuals in our community.”

Brideau had been with the University of Rochester since 1980 where he held many positions including the General Director and Chief Executive Officer of Strong Memorial Hospital, one of the nation’s leading teaching hospitals. He also has held positions with the U.S. Veterans Administration and the U.S. Veterans Administration Medical Center serving Richmond, Virginia/Togus, Maine.
