Columbia St. Mary’s to Open Urgent Care Center at Cedar Mills Medical Clinic in Cedarburg on March 16th
Cedarburg, Wis., March 6, 2009—Columbia St. Mary’s is pleased to announce that it will open an urgent care center at Cedar Mills Medical Clinic in Cedarburg on March 16th. Cedar Mills Medical Clinic is located at N143 W6515 Pioneer Road, Cedarburg, Wis.
The health care services that will be offered include urgent care, laboratory and medical imaging.
According to Leo P. Brideau, President and CEO of Columbia St. Mary’s, the new urgent care center was developed to respond to community need. “For the past two years we’ve been hearing from the community that they would like us to provide an urgent care center to meet their health care needs during off hours and on weekends – one where they wouldn’t have to make a trip to our emergency department or drive to one of our two urgent care sites in Milwaukee,” said Brideau. “With Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee established as a regional medical center that means providing comprehensive care in the community as well. Columbia St. Mary’s new Urgent Care Center at Cedar Mills Medical Clinic is centrally located in the county and will offer high-quality, convenient services that are more cost-effective than having to be seen in an emergency department,” he said.
The urgent care center will be staffed by family medicine physicians from Columbia St. Mary’s who are trained in urgent care medicine. “Open evenings and weekends, we’re able to tackle after-hour injuries and illnesses,” said Dr. Robert Pachner, Medical Director of Columbia St. Mary’s Urgent Care Center at Cedar Mills Medical Clinic. “We will treat fevers, sore throats, coughs, cuts that need stitches - plus with an onsite lab and X-ray, we can diagnose infections, sprains and fractures to get our patients back on their feet in no time,” he said.
The urgent care center will be open Monday through Friday from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from Noon to 4:00 pm. No appointment necessary. Walk-ins welcome.
