WHAT:

Penny and Polly Polyps make appearances throughout the month of September    

WHY:

To increase colon cancer awareness and stress the importance of preventative screenings

WHERE:

Farmers Markets, Jazz in the Park concert series, Festivals, Milwaukee County Parks

WHEN:

Water Tower Park, Milwaukee (At the intersection of North Ave. and Lake Dr. across from Old St. Mary’s Hospital)

BACKGROUND:

Columbia St. Mary’s is committed to build awareness about the importance of ongoing screening in the fight against colon cancer and the treatment of other GI diseases. Penny and Polly Polyp are taking this message directly to people by making appearances at upcoming community events and other locations. They will hand out information on colon cancer and the upcoming “Prevent Cancer Super Colon™” event. The Prevent Cancer Super Colon event takes place on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at River Woods Outpatient Center, 375 W. River Woods Parkway in Glendale.
