Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee Stroke Program Receives American Heart Association Gold Plus Achievement Award

Ozaukee County, WI, May 22, 2013 – Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee is proud to announce that our Primary Stroke Program received the Get With The Guidelines®–Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association. This award is a recognition of our commitment to and success in providing the highest quality of care to stroke patients.

“Columbia St. Mary’s has always been dedicated to providing compassionate, expert care to stroke patients throughout southeastern Wisconsin,” says Dr. Michael Connor, Medical Director of Columbia St. Mary’s Stroke Program. “It’s a great honor to receive this national recognition and it’s a testament to the skill and dedication of our entire stroke team.”

The American Heart Association’s Plus Award is “an advanced level of recognition” that is based on compliance with a series of quality measures. "Gold Plus" is the highest level of recognition possible and represents adherence to those quality measures over a period of 24 consecutive months.
