Kamekea Willis, MD, Internal Medicine, has joined the
staff at Columbia
St. Mary’s Prospect Medical Commons (2311 N. Prospect Ave.).
Dr. Willis earned her medical degree in 2003 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. As a U.S. Army Medical Corps Officer, she completed her internal medicine residency at Fort Bliss, Texas. Dr. Willis is board certified in internal medicine.
“As an educator, physician and mother, I understand the importance of supporting patients in making informed healthcare decisions,” said Dr. Willis. “I work with patients and present information that empowers them to manage their healthcare with a focus on prevention, control and healing.”
During her 13 years of military medical experience, Dr. Willis received numerous awards and commendations for her commitment to “making a difference” in the lives of patients and their families. She has traveled around the world providing healthcare to people of all ages and cultures. With a background in military healthcare, her special interests include providing compassionate care to senior adults and veterans.
